What is a Woodworm Infestation?
Woodworm is found in many buildings and is the result of wood boring beetles eating their way through the timbers of your house. This can cause structural damage because the beetles can bore through and leave large tunnels in the wood, undermining the structural integrity of the beam in question.
In order to treat your property, you may be required to vacate the property for a short period of time, depending on the type of treatment utilised.
Our water-based treatments are designed to be non-odorous and least harmful to people and pets. The treatment is designed to seep deep into the timbers and stay there, preventing further woodworm colonies from developing. We will need to access all areas where the woodworm has colonised, including walls, sub-floors and under floorboards.
In some cases, fogging treatment might be used, where we can peel back an area of carpet in the affected room and fog the under-floor space. This will again leave long lasting effects against woodworm.
