Wet rot is a term used to describe many types of fungal species that can strike at any timber where moisture and dampness linger and over a long period of time causing significant structural damage to a building.
Fortunately wet rot can be spotted early and the treatment is simple. We identify and remove sources of moisture from the area, as well as identify timber that has been affected. We then replace the affected timber with specially treated wood to help prevent a repeat occurrence. We then aim to promote a dry environment, and provide excellent ventilation to the area.
We also have numerous systems that are easily installed to help promote air flow and reduce the water vapour in a room to prevent the mould from returning.
